As per our previous news, we introduced the recent nation’s crush Priya Prakash, star featuring in Malayalam song, stealing hearts of youth with her attractive facial expressions. She has become the cyber star overnight. Priya Prakash is everywhere on social media. But this fame was of few days only, the song teaser which gave her the popularity has become a trouble now. Report says that someone has filed a case against this song in which Priya featured.  In his complaint, the man stated that the Priya Prakash Varrier starrer song, when translated to English, hurts the sentiments of Muslims as it makes derogatory references to the Prophet. The song has been produced by music composer Shaan Rahman and actor-playback singer Vineeth Sreenivasan.

An FIR has been registered against Omar Lulu, the director of upcoming Malayalam film ‘Oru Adaar Love’ over the lyrics of ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’, one of the songs in the movie. The complainants, Zaheer Ali Khan, Muqeeth Khan, residents of Falaknuma in Hyderabad, alleged that the Priya Prakash Varrier’s song, which has become an internet sensation now, when translated to English, hurts the sentiments of Muslims. As per the reports, they have demanded to change the lyrics of song otherwise they will convince the legal action against them.

So, as per the case against the director of the film over the lyrics of one of the songs, entire team including Priya Prakash Varrier star in Oru Adaar Love has completely stressed out. This is also the publicity news for them but if intentionally the song has hurt the sentiments then this may lead to serious outcomes as we have seen recent case of “Padmaavat”. 

 “Following the complaint, we took legal opinion and subsequently a case under IPC section 295A (hurting religious sentiments) has been registered against the film’s director, Omar Lulu,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Falaknuma division) Syed Fayaz told PTI.

On this, The ACP said As part of their investigation, the police will thoroughly check the complete matter, if they found that this song seriously hurt the sentiments then, they will take strict action for same but before that they will also take the opinion of some Islamic clerics on this after getting a translation of the song, he said. “We will proceed based on their opinion".

‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ is a famousmappila paattu (a native genre popular among the Muslim community) that was originally composed by Thalassery K Refeeque to the lyrics penned by PMA Jabbar. ‘Oru Adaar Love’, starring Siyadh Shajahan, Priya Prakash Varrier, and Noorin Shereef, is slated for release on March 1 this year.
