From being an actor who would only star in action movies, to doing movies like 'Oh my god', 'Special 26' and 'Rustom' and now 'Padman'; Akshay Kumar has come a long way in his career. A martial arts expert who is proud of his fighting skills, Akshay Kumar started off as an action hero who performed his own stunts in the movies he starred. This is where he got coined as 'Mr. Khiladi' of the industry also the 'Casanova' image that was being painted of him worked well with this new name.

He created a niche for himself during the time SRK was ruling the industry with his blockbuster romance movies while Salman and Amir were dangling between comedy and romance. It was in the year 2000 that we saw a romantic hero in him in the movie 'Dhadkan' and an impeccable comic timing in 'Hera Pheri'. This is when a new horizon opened for him. However both these movies happened after Twinkle Khanna agreed to marry him. Obviously Akshay gives all the credits for his amazing transformation to his wife, he calls he his lady luck.
