Really?? Akshay Kumar out of funds to support socially relevant cinema??Tap to find more!!!

Yes, you read it right!! As you all know that Akshay Kumar has been played inspiring characters most of the times in his movies. Recently, He has highlighted proudly the awareness on menstrual hygiene in his coming film ‘PadMan’. Usually, people don’t discuss on periods, they’ll always ask girls to hide it from others specially males. But Akshay Kumar has taken step to discuss it openly, So that men should understand the difficulties women bear in her life and also to aware girl / women regarding menstrual hygiene.

As per Akshya’s statement he always wanted to support socially relevant cinema, but couldn't due to lack of funds. Earlier he was not having many funds to support the social causes via cinema. The actor also added that there isn't a single commercial film on sanitary pads, not even in Hollywood, as people shy away from discussing the topic in public.

"I always wanted to work and make such films but I was not a producer during that time. I didn't have enough money, but now I can. "Even Hollywood does not have a single film on sanitary pads or menstrual hygiene. People always make documentaries but they don't want to make commercial films because they want to shy away from the issue. We have tried to do that," he added.

'PadMan' -- will be launched in Twinkle Khanna's maiden production venture -- the story of a real-life superhero who invented a low-cost sanitary pad manufacturing machine to bring a menstrual hygiene revolution for women.

First time ever on the big screen, inspiring message and Akshay's portrayal -- once again -- as a common man's hero, has kept the anticipation level high for the R. Balki directorial, which also features Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. Talking about the film, Akshay said: "People are talking about the issue. The other day I was sitting in my vanity van and I heard two-three guys discuss the film. Have you seen men discuss menstrual hygiene?"

This film may get negative comments but there is hope of positive more, at least this will change the mindset of people towards the periods. I wanted everybody to support this movie to spread the positive message to those who are against it or believe that it is a sin!!!

Muruganantham, who was also a part of the press meet, expressed his views on the film made on his endeavour. "I never thought a film will be made on my life and my work. When I used to say the word 'menstruation', people used to beat me up. Who would have thought that there would be a time when a film will be made on my life?"

I’m sure a large set of people must be waiting for this movie, so the wait has over now. The most awaiting film will be releasing in India on Friday.
